Ash - Iraq Update
7 FEB 2007
Hey everyone, I am sorry I have not had much time to respond to each individual email, I want you all to know I have read each of them and I want to thank all of you for your continued support. It has helped me get through this last year.
I want to clear up some confusion. I just want all of you to know that I will be returning to Mid-Missouri by the end of April this year. I am not extending another year over here. I hope I never have to be back here again!
I am sending a couple more pictures that were taken early yesterday before a mission and during a mission. The first is of myself and a fellow soldier, the second is of us traveling on a Main Supply Route (6 lane).
I hope all of you are well and continue to be so. I miss all of you and look forward to seeing each of you in a couple months!
Always,
Ash

Hey Everyone-
I just have a few minutes to say hello and let you all know that I am doing fine. I hope the same for all of you!
I am attaching a picture that was taken this morning. We are back in "dust Storm" season around here. You can see how danged dusty it gets when the sand gets blown around. Fallujah is, actually, located within the desert (along it's Eastern side) If you go just a few miles East into Baghdad, it is a lot greener.
I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful Christmas cards and gifts I have received. I know it has taken a while for me to respond, but the move has kept us all pretty busy. I loved all the cards my dear patients from DCI sent. I sat up Christmas night and read every single one of them. Thanks for the laughs, the smiles and the happy tears.
I look forward to seeing all of you soon. Thank you all for all the wonderful support, love and friendship you have offered during this difficult separation.
Love,
Ash
